Announced "18021 series" connector for automotive inverter IGBT with resonance absorption function

The 18021 series connector is a bottom-Mating type Socket Connectors for internal connection intended for use in severe vibration environments (2.54mm pitch, Floating in the Z direction). Reduces soldering stress for IGBT connections used inside drive inverters, which is necessary for Electric car. The use of connectors greatly improves workability and reliability.
 

Major features

Feature 1: Bottom Mating method
Since the pin insertion from the bottom of the connector is adopted, the insertion status of the pin can be visually confirmed.
 
Feature 2: Floating structure and position shift correction
IRISO Floating structure (Floating) type board-to-board connection connector in the X/Y direction Since it absorbs the position deviation between the boards at the time of Floating and Mating, it becomes easy to design multiple arrays on the same board, contributing to improved workability. In addition, this series adopts a unique structure "Z-Move structure ™" to realize the Z-direction Floating. It absorbs board resonance after Mating and demonstrates high connection reliability.
 
Feature 3: Reduction of load on soldering part
In addition to the aforementioned Floating structure, both ends of the housing are equipped with holding brackets to reduce the load on the soldering area due to external forces and prevent solder cracks.
